Assignment 30A- Final Reflection
Assignment 30A- Final Reflection
My most formative
memory of this class has to be just the amount of time management skills it
truly talks to succeed. There is a lot of posts that have to be made, with this
last one being the thirtieth one, but what makes it truly time consuming is
that some assignments are a bit more work than others. Assignments such as
Elevator Pitches and Reading Reflections could not be done in twenty minutes
because they require a bit more planning and background knowledge. My most
joyous memory was posting the Idea Napkin No. 2 post and seeing everyone
comment such nice and constructive things because it showed me that what I am
doing has a place in this world, and can really make a difference someday. I am
honestly very proud of myself for being able to dedicate enough time during
this summer and making sure that I did not fall behind on posts.
I do not see
myself as a pure entrepreneur by definition just yet because I think that
requires a little more experience that just the class itself. I do however
truly believe my skills and knowledge have grown infinity, therefore taking
this class was extremely useful. I have certainly taking some great leaps
forward and will use the skills from this class wherever life takes me, if that
means owning my own business or not.
One thing I would
recommend to any student who will be taking this class is to stay a week ahead
with assignments. I tried to do this in the beginning and then life got in the
way so I could not really continue it but it will help so much. The class will
be so much easier if you stay ahead of assignments because then you have given
yourself enough time to actually digest the topic.
Much agreed CJ -- time management is critical in this course. I, too, feel as though I gained a good bit by taking this class but I have a long way to go. I thoroughly enjoyed this term even though I stumbled at times. Best of luck to you in all of your future endeavors!
ReplyDeleteIt has been great reading your posts, I cannot agree more on the time management issue. The course design require some serious time management skills, otherwise everything falls apart. I too have learned a lot from the course, it gave an opportunity to explore through the ideas I have had. Unfortunately I was overwhelmed in the process with multiple ideas I have had for some time now. You just hit the nail on the head with the advice to incoming students. The course becomes difficult because we underestimate the power it brings through exploration of the ideas we are inventing in the process. Thus the material need time to be digested before the idea is shared to make sense. This post is sums up everything into a single force you need to break through. Keep up the good work.
ReplyDeleteStinks we are coming to the end of the class. I enjoyed reading your posts because they were very interesting and easy to read. Couldn't agree more about time management being essential to succeeding in this class. In fact the Professor even states it in his tips to excelling in Entrepreneurship. Wish you luck in future classes!
